Where are the rewards for those of us who learned the "right" way to spell things? We have to protect our clique of exclusiveness. Like your post about Syria.

Funny, that. I always thought French was harder to learn. I know that when I write in French, I consciously go over grammar rules. I review all the rules for conjugating properly, and matching up all the genders and numbers, and remembering all the exceptions.English, on the other hand, just flows. Most of the time, I don't even know the grammar rules!
